Procedure: Breast augmentation is a procedure to enlarge breast size using silicone implants or saline, which are placed through a small incision in the areola.
The patient will choose the best place to locate (subglandular or retromuscular) according to each particular case.
Duration: 1-2 hours.
Anesthesia: Local or general, depending on the patient.
Hospitalization: Usually this surgery is ambulatory.
Side Effects: Temporary pain or inflammation.
There may be transient decrease nipple soreness.
Mammography requires a special technique.
During the consultation the risks associated with the implants will be discussed.
Recovery: Back to normal activities a few days later.
